About This Project
Our project began with a comprehensive design consultation where we focused on understanding the client’s vision and preferences for the custom glass railings. We guided them through various glass options—such as clear, frosted, or smoked grey glass—and helped them choose the right standoff and handrail finishes or shapes to complement their design.
Once the design details were finalized, we proceeded with precision template measurements. We meticulously measured the space to ensure a flawless fit for the custom glass railings, paying close attention to the railing height and the placement of standoffs and handrails.
With the measurements complete, we moved on to custom fabrication. Each glass panel was cut to the exact specifications using high-quality, tempered 12mm glass for durability and safety. We also selected premium materials for the standoffs or spigots and handrails, typically opting for stainless steel to ensure both functionality and aesthetic appeal.
Next, we handled the standoff installation. We predrilled and securely mounted the standoffs to the staircase stringers or walls. These standoffs, often made from stainless steel, provided a robust support structure and contributed to a modern, clean look while ensuring stability and safety for the glass panels.
Following this, we carefully placed and secured the custom glass panels into the standoffs. We ensured that each panel was perfectly aligned and securely fitted, providing an unobstructed view and a polished appearance.
For the top-mounted handrails, we installed them with a rubber gasket insert directly on top of the glass panels. Available in various finishes and shapes—such as square, rectangular, or round—and in brushed or polished metal, these handrails were both functional and stylish, enhancing the overall look of the railings.
We completed the project with final adjustments and a thorough inspection to ensure everything was perfectly aligned and securely fastened. We then cleaned up the space, leaving it spotless. Additionally, we provided guidance on the care and maintenance of the glass railings to keep them looking pristine for years to come.
